About the CoSN Webcast Series

CoSN WebcastsThe Internet & Education Webcasts Series, co-produced by Adobe Systems, is a series of 60-minute interactive presentations conducted over the Internet. This exciting professional development series is designed for school district and state leaders, offering guidance on key challenges and opportunities in education technology. Participants can join from their home or office and will have the ability to listen and submit text questions to the presenters, as well as chat with other participants online. Webcasts are held six times a year from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM eastern time and will be captioned for the deaf and hearing impaired. Archived versions of all Webcasts are available via the the CoSN Catalog shortly after the conclusion of the broadcast.

Each of the webcasts is correlated to one or more of the Essential Skills for K-12 technology leaders. The nine functional areas defined as essential job responsibilities of the K-12 CTO include:

Registration for CoSN Members:

  • Institutional and Corporate Members receive six complementary registrations for the 2008-2009 Webcast series. Members may use all six complementary registrations for one Webcast, one registration at a time for each of the six Webcasts, or any other combination.

  • Individual Members receive two complementary registrations for the 2008-2009 Webcast series.

Registration for Non-Members:

Registration is $59 per Webcast.

Archived versions of all Webcasts are available via the the CoSN Catalog. The above registration information applies to real-time and archived Webcasts.

What Do You Need to Participate?

Online live webcasts are scheduled events simulcast over the web via Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro. You'll need a computer with a browser (Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Safari, Opera, etc), Adobe Flash player and an Internet connection (DSL or other broadband recommended). Voice-Over IP will broadcast over your computer – a computer speaker is required to listen to the broadcast.
